PSRP Researcher Presenting: Rethinking statebuilding, fragility and conflict

October 31, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - November 2, 2016 @ 2:00 pm

PSRP Director, Professor Christine Bell, is speaking at the Wilton Park conference ‘Rethinking state-building, fragility and conflict’, which is run in partnership with the Department for International Development (DFID),   Overseas Development Institute and the Secure Livelihoods Research Consortium.

The conference asks how states can best build effective institutions and reduce violence in fragile and conflict-affected states, within the framework of the new Sustainable Development Goals. Christine will speak as part of the session on ‘wicked problems’ arising from the case study discussions on Somalia, South Sudan, Afghanistan, and the Middle East.
