PSRP welcomes first group of Student Fellows

On 1 November 2019, the Political Settlements Research Programme welcomed its first group of Student Fellows at Edinburgh Law School.

Following University-wide recruitment, Hannah Den Boer (MSc graduate in International Development), Gurlay Firatli (PhD Candidate in Law), and Chulani Kodikara (PhD Candidate in SPS) have joined the team for three-month Fellowships. They will be joined by Fiona Knaussel (LLB graduate) at the end of November.

Hannah, Gulay, and Fiona will be working closely with the team on coding the PA-X Peace Agreements Database, ahead of the launch of Version 3 in early 2020. This will include updating conflict descriptions, which will involve self-directed research under the overall supervision of our Postdoctoral Fellow, Sanja Badanjak. Chulani will be using her gender expertise to work closely with PSRP Research Associates, Juline Beaujouan and Laura Wise, on developing a mobile App with UN Women based on our recent collaboration.

We welcome our new Fellows to the PSRP Team, and to the Edinburgh Law School community.
