COVID-19

PSRP is part of the FCDO-funded Covid Collective research platform, which commissions urgent research to help tackle the social, political and economic impact of the pandemic. Read more about PSRP’s work with the Covid Collective.

The Covid-19 pandemic is disproportionately affecting fragile and conflict-affected states. In March 2020, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres called for a global ceasefire to stop violent conflict in support of the fight against novel coronavirus. We have been tracking the outcomes of these ceasefires in our Covid-19 Ceasefire Tracker, as well as researching the nexus between conflict, peace, and Covid-19. We are also curating a list of external blogs and resources addressing the pandemic from the perspective of conflict-affected areas – to add to this list, please email politicalsettlements@ed.ac.uk.
