Research Visit: Dr Brooke Coe
November 26, 2019 - November 29, 2019
*This event is by invitation only*
PSRP will host a research visit by Dr Brooke Coe from 26-29 November 2019.
Dr Brooke Coe earned her BA and PhD from the University of Minnesota. She conducts research and teaches at the intersection of comparative politics and international relations, and her interests include comparative regional law and organisations in the Global South, state sovereignty and international interventions, and transitional justice. Her work has been published in Global Governance and Global Responsibility to Protect, and her book was recently published by Cambridge University Press.
Dr Coe is currently working with the PSRP’s Dr Kathryn Nash on a long term collaborative project investigating how regional and subregional organisations engage in peace processes and peace agreements. This research will add to our understanding of regional and international security governance at a point when the world is becoming increasingly multipolar and when there are moves in several regions to develop policies and practices of subsidiarity.
The schedule of events for the visit is as follows:
Tuesday 26 November: PRSP Research Group and Lunch
Thursday 28 November: Early Career Coffee
Friday 29 November: Workshop on Regional and International Actors in Peace and Security
